Scripture Meditation> Genesis 1: 26 – 2:15
1. What do you think it means to be made in the image of God?
2. What do you think it means to have rule over the earth? (Note: the Hebrew word for 'to work' can also be translated ‘to serve', and the word for 'to take care of' can also mean 'to preserve, protect'.)
Carbon Fast> Confess
Let us examine ourselves to find out whether we have made ourselves as the master of the world instead of being the preserver, and have been consuming the world’s resources to satisfy ourselves, contorting the meaning of God's creation. Pray that God will forgive our sins and help us to recognise what is our basic need and what is our desire. Let us live simply during Lent by reducing consumption and use less natural resources and energy, such as water and electricity; and be the servants of God who fear Him and cherish His creation.

願意我們一同反省，我們有否遺忘了作為世界守護者的身份，而自視為世界的主人；為了滿足自己，不斷耗用地球資源，扭曲了神原先創造的美意。求神赦免我們的罪，幫助我們分辦哪些是生活需要，哪些是我心想要，並在大齋期間，實踐簡約生活，減少購物和耗用水、電等資源，作個敬畏上帝、顧惜大地的主僕。
