Day 26 of Lent 18 March 2010 (Thursday)
Meditation> Story of the Poor
‘Water is the biggest problem for me: sometimes we face flood, sometimes drought. Agriculture is my one source of income, so during floods or drought my whole livelihood is threatened.’ Kasti, an Indian farmer, said.Climate change will have disastrous effects because of increasing population. A small change affects thousands and thousands of people in India. It is a threat to human development; with one disaster, years of development can be wiped away.

Carbon Fast
> Pray for the Poor
Pray that God will strengthen the harvest of community development in India and establish a more firm and solid foundation to fight against climate change. Also pray for God’s mercy to the impoverished farmers in India, giving them plenty of rainfall to water their land.
> ‘Save the Resources’
From now on, please save water by reusing wasted domestic water, use dual-flush toilet and shorten your shower time.
